With an artistic visual approach and a humanist story aesthetic, Vietnam’s first exorcism-themed horror film combines tense elements of a love triangle and blood-soaked affairs. Winner of the Best Sound award at the 2023 Golden Kite Film Festival, the film features popular Vietnamese star, Chi Pu. Chi Pu is the first and the only Vietnamese artist with a self-titled mobile game and has the most followers of any Vietnamese actress on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Synopsis:
Linh accepts the invitation to visit Hang, her long lost best friend at a commissional house in a nearby city. During her stay, Linh discovers the haunted portrait of Muoi and its curse throughout years of anger. Linh has to make a life and death decision of either running away or facing the curse in order to save her friend. Little does she know, while slowly unfolding the darkest secret behind this haunted portrait, Linh is falling deeper into the most horrific trap, which was contrived… specifically, just for her.
