Where Are They Now? Scary Movie 3’s Drew Mikuska

The announcement that studios are actively in development of Scary Movie 6 caused my husband I to binge watch the first four entries. We’ll get to Scary Movie 5 this week before moving on to the Haunted House films. Drew Mikuska co-starred in Scary Movie 3 and had a blink and you’ll miss it cameo in Scary Movie 4. He was only 8-years-old at the time, so I dedicate this installment of ‘Where Are They Now?’ to him.

Scary Movie 3 (2003) and Scary Movie 4 (2006) both opened at #1 on the box office charts. Despite the outlandish content, they both were big successes. However, Drew went back to the world of independent cinema before retiring from the big screen all together in 2008. That doesn’t mean he’s completely out of the entertainment industry. Instead, he followed his passion to another important avenue in film production.

Eventually earning his Masters Degree in Music in Screen Scoring, Drew hit the ground running in 2017 by working as a scoring assistant on thrillers like Brave and Con Man. Soon, he worked his way up to a full-fledged composer and lent his talent to children’s shows including Interrupting Chicken, Mickey’s Tale of Two Witches, Vampirina, She-Rah and the Princess of Power, Dragons: Riders and Spirit Riding Free.

In the world of horror and science fiction, Drew’s original music can be found in titles like Dead Summer (2016), Siren (2018), Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020) and Zombie Town (2023).

And let’s not forget, he’s now making that Netflix money as heard in Fractured.

Now age 29, Drew Mikuska is more than thriving and I’m glad to see he was a child star with a true passion for the business as a whole. Listen to some of his original works at the Soundcloud link below.
