I haven’t received any official confirmation on this story yet, so this needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I do, however, love Heather Langenkamp. Don’t we all? I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hope this turns out to be true.
Rumor has it that A Nightmare on Elm Street icon Heather Langenkamp will be playing one of the lead roles in horror-drama, Home. The feature film is written and directed by Frank Lin (Hysteria) with Jeff Lam. Cast members listed to appear alongside Langenkamp include Samantha Mumba (Boy Eats Girl), Kerry Knuppe (Voodoo Possession), Alessandra Shelby Farmer, Aaron Hill (“Greek,” “Twisted”), and Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects, “The Walking Dead”).
Home follows the story of, “Carrie, a religious fundamentalist whose mother decided to come-out-of-the-closet and marry another woman, which they have a daughter together with. Now, she is forced to move into a new house with people she cannot accept. The story takes place over the first two days at the strange house, as Carrie’s new parents leave for a business trip and she must now take care of her step sister. As creepy occurrences lead to full blown terror, Carrie must learn to overcome her own fears and beliefs to save her little sister.”
Home currently has a release date of December 2015.
Sounds like there is going to be all sorts of hearty themes, drama, and hopefully spine-chilling terror here! One thing’s for sure, I have high hopes of seeing Ms. Langenkamp back in action again!
