On top of today being the best holiday of the year, it is also Svengoolie/Rich Koz day in Chicago and the entire state of Illinois. Myself and everyone here at Horror Society, which is based in Sven’s home haunt of Chicago would like to recognize and congratulate Rich Koz and his alter ego Svengoolie for today being celebrated in his honor.
According to Me-TV on Facebook, The legendary horror host is being honored for his four decades of service, and the Bill correctly points out that Sven “has brought countless generations of families around the television to enjoy his unique sense of humor” and that, without him, “Saturday nights in millions of households across the nation would be like Halloween and scary movies.”
We couldn’t imagine a more fitting tribute to Svengoolie, or a more perfect day for to mark the occasion—Halloween, 2014. Congratulations, Svengoolie/Rick Koz!
