1969 – Bud Collyer who was the voice of “Superman” in the cartoon series of the 40’s, as well as in the DC cartoon series of the 60’s, passed away at the age of 61.
1980 – Whitney Ellsworth who produced the “Superman” TV series of the 50’s, passed away at the age of 71.
