2013 – Born in the Philippines, Eddie Romero directed such cult B-movies as “Mad Doctor of Blood Island”, “Brides of Blood”, “Beast of the Yellow Night”, “Blood Devils”, “The Twilight People”, “Savage Sisters”, and many more. He passed away at the age of 88.

2009 – Mort Abrahams, who produced the films Planet of the Apes” and “Beneath the Planet of the Apes,” passed away at the age of 93. He also produced the TV shows “Tales of Tomorrow” and the “Wizard’s Leg & Owlet’s Wing” episode of “Route 66″ starring Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney and Peter Lorre.”

2003 – Peter MacLean, who appeared in the films “Squirm,” “Midnight Offerings” and in numerous episodes of shows such as “Wonder Woman,” “Battlestar Galatica” and “Buck Rodgers” to touch the tip of the iceberg, passed away at the age of 67.

1960 – Character actor George Zucco who appeared in numerous films such as the 1939 version of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “The Mummy’s Hand” and “The Mad Ghoul,” passed away at the age of 74.

1960 – Mexican horror film actor Ramón Gay was shot and killed by the jealous husband of a woman he was having an affair with. He was 42 at the time of his death. Some of his films included “The Aztec Mummy,” “Curse of the Doll People” and “Face of the Screaming Werewolf.”
