The Southern Sykos (aka filmmakers Chad Clinton Freeman and Jack Hunter) officially unveiled the first teaser art for Paranoia Tapes, a horror-crime anthology from the creators of PollyGrind, Amateur Porn Star Killer, After the Dawn, Barbazul, Day Job, L.A. Maniac and Play Hooky.
Freeman describes the film as an experimental group project featuring a number of terrifying and award winning segments from around the world.
Created by Hunter and directed by Freeman, Paranoia Tapes also features involvement from filmmakers Amy Hesketh (Barbazul), Douglas Farra (Vitamin Z), Craig McIntyre (L.A. Ripper), Shane Ryan (Amateur Porn Star Killer), Dave O’Shea (Day Job), Mitchel A. Jones (After the Dawn), Frank S. Petrilli (Play Hooky) and more.
Actors on the project include Hunter, Kelly Garni (the original bass player and co-founder of 80’s rock gods Quiet Riot), Paige Lauren Billiot (Sean Jackson’s Bubblegum & Broken Fingers), Tommie Vegas (Albert Pyun’s The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper), Nicole Kruex (Jones’ After the Dawn), Victoria Cameron (Neil Breen’s Fateful Findings) and Ainslee Kate (Robert Conrad’s Past Due).
in late 2013, Freeman (creator of the PollyGrind Film Festival), formed the production company Southern Sykos with Hunter. Freeman is originally from Southeast Texas and Hunter is from East Central Louisiana. Paranoia Tapes is the first Southern Sykos production.
