Where Are They Now? : Brooke Nevin

brookenevinBrooke Nevin is an Emmy Award and Gemini Award nominee. She was born in December of 1982 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Right at the start of her acting career, Brooke landed roles on popular horror themed kids shows on the Nickelodeon Channel including “Goosebumps” in 1997 and “Are You Afraid of The Dark” in 1999. She also starred in the science fiction show “Animorphs” on the same network, and opposite X-Men’s Shawn Ashmore, from 1998 to 1999. Keeping with the trend, all-be-it on another venue and caliber, she found herself on the set of the iconic “Tales From The Crypt” series for one episode in 1999.

Ms. Nevin continued to further her television career heading into the new millennium, this time with a mix of genres under her belt. She appeared on “Doc” in 2001, and “Without A Trace” and “Everwood” in 2005. Her horror/scifi roles in between the other shows include “Seriously Weird” in 2002, “Strange Days at Blake Holsey High” in 2004, and “Charmed,” “Smallville,” and “Supernatural” all in 2005.

It was then that horror fans really took a notice in Brooke when she played the survivor girl in the 2006 second sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer, I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. She played her part opposite Torrey DeVetto and David Paetkau, and although the film was heavily panned and straight-to-DVD, I actually liked it a lot!

So, where is Brooke Nevin now?

After her chase scene with The Fisherman, Brooke finished her co-starring role on “The 4400,” a alien abduction series she had been a part of since 2004.

She returned to television again and quickly racked up more credits and continued her streak as one of TV’s brightest new stars. Her guest spots include “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2007, “My Name is Early” in 2008, “NCIS” in 2009, “How I Met Your Mother” and “Til Death” in 2010, “CSI” in 2012, and “Chicago Fire” in 2013. She also starred as Julianne in “Breakout Kings” from 2011 to 2012.

As for horror films, her only role since I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer was the 2009 flick Infestation. However, with such an extensive background in horror/scifi shows, I don’t think it’ll be long before we see Brooke Nevin on our screens again.
