Last summer’s surprise hit was the CBS series Under The Dome, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. The series about a mysterious dome that traps an entire town inside its walls will be back again this summer for a second season beginning June 30th. Filming or the second season is already underway and CBS released a preview for the upcoming season today which promises that two lead characters will die in the premiere. Stephen King himself wrote the Season 2 premiere episode which I’m sure will include some surprises.
Under The Dome stars Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Natalie Martinez, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Mackenzie Lintz, Britt Robertson, Dean Norris, and Samantha Mathis.
Cast members announced for Season 2 include Sherry Stringfield, Eddie Cahill, Grace Victoria Cox, and Karla Crome.
Plot Synopsis
An invisible and mysterious force field descends upon a small fictional town in the United States, trapping residents inside, cut off from the rest of civilization. The trapped townsfolk must discover the secrets and purpose of the “dome” and its origins, while coming to learn more than they ever knew about each other.
