Day of the Dead image 3

It seems like all I do lately is write about new zombie projects.  News today out of the AFM brings word that a new genre label entitled Vicarious Enterainment will be producing four to six horror and thrillers, one of which will be a remake of the George A. Romero film Day of the Dead.  Do we really need another crappy remake of Romero’s film?  Read on for more information.

According to Deadline, Get ready for a new genre label in Vicarious Entertainment. The shingle is being hatched by 1821 Media’s Paris Kasidokostas-Latsis and Terry Dougas, who wrapped the Natalie Portman-starrer Jane Got A Gun and are developing The Odyssey at Warner Bros. The new label will develop, produce and finance four to six thriller and horror feature films. They’ve already got four in post-production.

Vicarious has teamed with Campbell Grobman Films to develop Day Of The Dead, a remake of George Romero’s zombie extravaganza that is set at Millenium Films.

We’ll be following this story so stay tuned to Horror Society for all the latest!
