We’ve been following updates on the newest film adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel Frankenstein. The film has already cast Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) as Igor, now word has come today that 20th Century Fox’s search for Victor Von Frankenstein has ended as the studio has cast James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) in the role.
Deadline is reporting, Fox‘s search for the right actor to play Victor Von Frankenstein alongside Daniel Radliffe’s Igor in the Paul McGuigan-directed film has ended. The studio has chosen its X-Men: First Class star James McAvoy and the dealmaking is underway.
The as yet untitled Frankenstein project will be directed by Paul McGuigan (Push, Lucky Number Slevin) based on a script by Max Landis (Chronicle) adapted from the novel by Mary Shelley.
The film is expected to open on October 17th, 2014.
