What We Saw announces preliminary castings; Chill members included.

It looks like What We Saw is going to be one big Chill reunion! What We Saw is an upcoming film written by Roger Conners which is currently in pre-production. Despite being in the early stages of development, several casting choices have been made and four out of the five preliminary casting announcements have been Chill cast-mates. Lots of productions recycle cast members; from indie films under Weber Pictures (Mary Horror franchise) to big Hollywood films like those under Broken Lizard Industries (Club Dread, Beerfest); and I thoroughly enjoyed Chill and all of its actors so I’m ready to see them tackle new roles in What We Saw.

What We Saw follows, “five childhood friends who make an oath to spend one last summer together before they each go their separate ways and leave their small-town lives behind them. In an attempt to make the remaining few weeks as unique and memorable as possible, they decide to venture to an array of famous “haunted” locations for which their town is notorious and capture their experiences there on tape. While spending a night at the legendary “Bracket Road”, a stretch of abandoned highway well-known for being the stomping-grounds for the mythical creatures known as “the Melon Heads”, they come across something far more terrifying then anything they could have expected.”

Roger Conners, who is writing What We Saw and played Kyle in Chill, will be playing the role of CJ – the token gay guy – in What We Saw. His screen-mate, Angelia DeLuca who played Maddison in Chill, will be playing the role of Jenna – the sex bomb. DJ Remake – who played Kent in Chill – will play the undisclosed role of Eric in What We Saw. Professional wrestler and actor Benny Benzino, who played Luke aka “Moose” in Chill, will play the role of The Brawn in this flick; which I suspect is a villainous role. These former cast-mates will be joined on screen by newcomer and creator of the Sleepy Robot 13 merchandise Lisastarchild Pinkston in the role of Autumn.
