If you haven’t yet heard the news about Amazon Studios’ (a branch of Amazon.com) first Television offering, a series based on the 2009 horror/comedy Z0mbieland. The first casting news for the series was announced earlier today.
According to Deadline, Tyler Ross (Milkshake) and newcomer Izabela Vidovic have been cast as two of the four leads in Zombieland. The project, produced by Sony TV, is a continuation of the adventures of Tallahassee, Columbus (Ross), Wichita, and her younger sister Little Rock (Vidovic) — four humans who band together to survive the zombie apocalypse. In the movie, the “nerdy handsome” Columbus, who also narrates the story, was played by Jesse Eisenberg; Little Rock, a worldly girl hardened by adversity, was portrayed by Abigail Breslin. Original Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote the pilot and executive produce with the movie’s producer, Gavin Polone.
