Crowd Funding: Jürgen Kling’s Crappy Christmas

We need a Christmas miracle! There’s only eight days left to help fund this project, and it’s only sitting at 12% completion!

Crappy Christmas is a “dark and twisted Christmas claymation shocker” from the mind of writer/director Jürgen Kling, the founder of Weirdoughmation Films. Serving as a sequel to previous short Operation Christmas Child, Crappy Christmas is a dark socially critical piece on suicide around the holiday season.

“The film breaks with the viewing habits of mainstream cinema by contrasting the rather cute clay animation look, with mostly taboo topics. The films challenge the viewers with controversial and transgressive, thought-provoking content, tough subjects mixed with dark humor and crazy twists. They are intended to keep the respective topics in circulation and trigger discussions.” – Kickstarter

Estimated to run 12 to 15 minutes, Crappy Christmas needs your help to reach finishing funds via Kickstarter. By donating to the campaign, you can earn yourself thanks in the credits, a digital download of the completed project, t-shirts and much more. Donate here.

Other cast/crew members include Alexander Dannhauser, Anja Backhaus, Karin Csernohorski, Meike Brandner
Thomas Brückler, Frank Vogt, Stephan Busch, Kerthekan Balasubramaniam, Michael Kaufmann, Tim Mattson and Kerstin Lorwich.

Here’s a look at a previous Weirdoughmation Films production, just so you can see that the work is top notch!
