WIP Productions announces the world premiere of the feature film ‘Amazon Hot Box’ will be held on Friday, June 15th at 7pminside Atlanta’s oldest continually operating cinema, The Plaza Theatre. The “red carpet” event will be held at 7pm followed by a “hang out” with cast and crew at Atlanta’s first and longest continually operating strip club, the Clermont Lounge at 9pm.
In attendance, will be Tristan Risk (AMERICAN MARY), Ellie Church (JOHNNY Z), Kelsey Carlisle (HEADLESS), Jordan Phipps (CLOSE CALLS), Jett Bryant (DEAR GOD NO!) and many more.
Atlanta filmmaker, James Bickert (FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS), wrote and directed. Principal photography took place in 2017 in Atlanta, Cockspur Island and Tybee Island. James Bickert co-produced with genre filmmaker Brian K. Williams (SPACE BABES FROM OUTER SPACE).
“Atlanta is our home base of operations so it was important to hold the world premiere in our beautiful city where all our cast and crew could attend. We have several surprises in store for the event and are thrilled to see the audience reception to our original film at this beautiful venue”, says Bickert.
AMAZON HOT BOX will also screen at The Plaza Theatre for one week following the World Premiere. Tickets may will be available two weeks prior to the event from Fandango at www.fandango.com or the Plaza Theatre box office. An exclusive version of AMAZON HOT BOX is currently available for pre-order at www.amazonhotbox.com until Thursday April 10th at 5:45pm EST. This collector’s edition will not be sold after that date.

About the Plaza Theatre
Designed by architect George Harwell Bond, the Plaza Theatre opened on December 23, 1939, as an art deco cinema and live theater space. Located at 1049 Ponce De Leon Ave N in Atlanta, Georgia. In the 1970s, the Plaza became an X-rated adult cinema and live burlesque theatre until it was purchased in 1983 by movie theatre entrepreneur George LeFont. This era witnessed an influx of independent, foreign, and art-house movies that would become the norm until the present. The Plaza Theatre is an Atlanta landmark and the city’s longest continuously operating movie theatre located at 1049 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306.

The Clermont Lounge is Atlanta’s first and longest continually operating strip club which opened in 1965. Located in the basement of the Clermont Motor Hotel at 789 Ponce De Leon Avenue and has established a nationwide reputation for its kitschy atmosphere and unusual dancers.
