Jennifer Chambers Lynch (The Walking Dead, Boxing Helena) is the daughter of the legendary director David Lynch and has been set to helm the new horror film Hellfest. Lynch recently has directed several episodes of The Walking Dead.
Lynch will be re-teaming with producer Gale Anne Hurd on the film. The two have worked together on TWD series.
Hellfest involves a Halloween night of fun turns deadly at a horror theme park when a costumed killer begins slaying unsuspecting patrons who believe that it’s all part of the show. Production will begin this winter at an undisclosed theme park.
CBS Films president Terry Press said her company has “loved the concept of Hellfest since Gale brought it to us and we have been waiting for exactly the right director. Jennifer came to us with both the passion and the vision necessary to make Hellfest a terrifying Halloween tradition much like the growing phenomenon of the theme park horror nights enjoyed by millions the world over.”
