Hannah_R_HallHanna Hall made a noteworthy splash in Hollywood way before she ever became known in the horror genre. Born in Colorado in July of 1984, Hanna booked her first breakout role at age ten in the 6x Oscar Winning film Forrest Gump. Forrest Gump was the #1 movie at the box office for five nonconsecutive weeks and gave Hanna a credible background to continue forth as a child star. Although she continued to act in television movies and short films, her next break didn’t come until 1999 when she played the supporting role of Cecilia Libson opposite Kirsten Dunst and Josh Hartnett in The Virgin Suicides, which won an MTV Movie Award.

She forayed into the horror genre for the first time in 2007 as Judith Myers in Rob Zombie’s white track version of Halloween. Hall’s portrayal of Judith was must more twisted than John Carpenter’s original version, which gave Hall the much needed grit she needed to tackle more adult film roles. Halloween also reached the #1 spot at the box office during its opening week. The following year, Hanna booked the lead role of Sarah in horror’s Text and a small role in science fiction’s Radio Free Albemuth in 2010, as well as the second female lead, Becky, in horror-thriller Visible Scars (2012).

So, where is Hanna Hall now?

She’s still acting. Her last film roles were in television, actually, with guest spots on “Criminal Minds” in 2013 and “Masters of Sex” in 2015. She’s also expanding her resume by working behind the camera as an assistant camera woman, and as an assistant director as seen in episodes of web-series’ “There Will be a Brawl” in 2009 and 2010 and “Batgirl: Spoiled” in 2012 and 2013.
