THE CORPSE GRINDERS (2016 / Remake)
Production of The Corpse Grinders is slated to start on Wednesday, June 1st. The film is set to star Max Evans (“Nature: The Series,” Death Wish Zero), Enya Marie Thomas (Blood Feast remake), Yazmeen Baker (“Ultimate Justice with marc DaCascos) and many others.
Writer/Director Timo Rose has this to say about his upcoming feature film, “It’s time for a new version of The Corpse Grinders (1971). My version will be more modern – bloodier, scarier and with more bone crushing. In my version no one will be killed by animals. I don’t want to see cats killing people. I want to see Landau killing people. It’s a remake, it’s a reboot in the series and it is something different and very new.”
Synopsis: Landau, the young owner of “Lotus Cat Food,” is struggling to keep the company alive as business is worse than expected. Landau is broke and down on his luck and can no longer afford to pay his employees. Because of this, he starts to kill one of his employees every couple of days. Gradually, more people disappear until the police become involved in the case. One of the missing persons, Frank, has an overprotective girlfriend, Tessie, who sets out in search for him. Tessie follows the leads all the way back to “Lotus Cat Food,” and its sinister truths.
