Sharks just happen to be a passion of mine, which all started because of a little film called Jaws – so whenever a new shark horror film comes along, I’m there with bells on. Today we bring you news of another new shark thriller called The Shallows. The film stars Blake Lively and will take a bite out of theatergoers on June 24th, 2016 from Sony Pictures. In the taut thriller The Shallows, Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a great white shark and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills. It’s Jaws for a new generation.
