  • 1989 – Lily Collins, daughter of famed musician Phil Collins, has appeared in “Priest”, “Mirror Mirror”, “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”, and the upcoming “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.”
  • 1980 – Sophia Myles, who appeared in the films “From Hell,” “Underworld” and “Underworld: Evolution.”
  • 1950 – The voice of “Chucky,” Brad Dourif. He has starred in such films as “The Exorcist III,” “Alien: Resurrection,” “Pulse” and Rob Zombie’s “Halloween.”
  • 1945 -Susan Tyrrell, who appeared in the films “Night Warning,” “The Offspring” and “Rockula.”
  • 1938 – Carl Gottlieb, wrote the screenplay for the films “Jaws”, “Jaws 2″, and “Jaws 3-D.”
  • 1926 – Peter Graves, best known for his role as “Mr. Phelps” on the TV show “Mission: Impossible,” and as narrator of A&E’s “Biography.” He starred in the films “Killers From Space,” “It Conquered the World” and “Beginning of the End.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY – MARCH 18

  • 2010 – Fess Parker, best known for playing the lead in “Daniel Boone (TV Series)” and the classic film “Old Yeller”. He had a bit part in the 1954 sci-fi classic “Them!.” He passed away at the age of 85.
  • 2009 – Natasha Richardson, wife of Liam Neeson, who passed away suddenly at the age of 45, after suffering a head injury while skiing. She portrayed Mary Shelly in the film “Gothic.”
  • 2004 – Bill Rodgers who appeared in “Flesh Feast” and “Sampson vs The Vampire Women,” passed away at the age of 74.
  • 2003 – Lewis Greiger, who wrote fore the TV series’ “Dr. Who,” “Ghost Squad” and “The Prisoner,” passed away at the age of 83.
  • 2002 – Denis Forest, who appeared in the TV mini-series “Storm of the Century,” and episodes of the TV shows “The X-Files,” “War of The Worlds” and “Friday the 13th,” passed away at the age of 41.
  • 1970 – William Beaudine, who directed the films “Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla,” “The Ape Man,” “Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter” and “Billy the Kid vs. Dracula,” passed away at the age of 78.
