Martyrs is a remake of the popular extreme French horror film from 2008 of the same name. Martyrs will be hitting theaters and Digital HD on January 22nd, 2016 and VOD on February 2nd from Anchor Bay Entertainment. MARTYRS is a retelling of the French 2008 horror cult film written and directed by Pascal Laugier. This MARTYRS film’s screenplay was written by Mark L. Smith who is also the co-writer of THE REVENANT screenplay along with Alejandro González Iñárritu which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy.
