Scream 4 Stab 4 Fan Horror Movie Sounds Awesome Looks Great

Aug 11, 2010 – Do you like fan-made scary movies? So do we… normally for their off-beat tackiness… but someone’s changing the rules. Stab 4: Fresh Blood, written and directed by Joshua Patrick Dudley (author of the Lost in Oz trilogy), actually shows some promise! Mr. Dudley’s series of Oz books are often described as being a “darker side of Oz,” so he figured he’d try his hand at writing for horror movies, but not just any horror movie, it had to involve Scream, his favorite series. The result is an attempt to create Stabs 4-7 over the next year and a half.

If you don’t already know, Stab is a series movies produced within the Scream movies, recreating the “real life” events of Scream, Scream 2 and Scream 3. Joshua has envisioned what would have happened as the Stab films continued on without the Scream films. He says he got the idea when Wes Craven let slip that in Scream 4 the Stab series was on its seventh installment. Dudley has even created a back story for the films, citing that Stab 3 was never completed in memoriam of its actors who were killed off during production (in Scream 3).

The environment surrounding the production of Stab 4 is also quite Scream -like. Besides the use of GhostFace, Mr. Dudley has asked his cast and crew (comprised of veteran and amateur actors) to keep quiet about the details on the film, even going as far as not allowing them to post behind-the-scenes photos on their own FaceBook accounts. “It’s really to ensure everyone enjoys the film,” he said. “We do post some awesome sneak peeks on our Facebook and Twitter accounts! Follow us! The trailer is expected in the next few weeks! Keep your eyes peeled!”

Filming is almost complete for Stab 4 and it is set to debut on StabMovies.com on October 10, 2010 (10-10-10). The film follows a new set of characters (hence the Fresh Blood in the title) but doesn’t ignore the history of the film or its characters. The finished film will be presented in HD on StabMovies.com (for free) and will even feature an original score, composed by Isaias Garcia!

Synopsis: “After being accused of her family’s murder, Sarah Campbell (Audrey Marquee) has moved from her home in Odessa, Texas to the smaller, peaceful town of Manchester, New Hampshire. Stuck in an unfamiliar place, Sarah rediscovers joy in her oldest hobby: dance. Sarah joins a local dance-team run by dance legend Jay McConnell (Joshua Patrick Dudley) and befriends her teammates Haley Graham (Amanda Constant), Shannon Lewis (Shannon Nightingale), Mandy Meyers (Reanna Warnock) and Nikki Summers (Alicia Vigeant).Trouble soon finds Sarah, again, when a local news reporter, Heather Gale (Jennifer Sue Mallard), from Texas follows her to New Hampshire, revealing the dark secrets of her past and accusing her of a new string of local murders. Could Sarah and the murders be connected? Or has someone else taken their love of the Stab movies one step too far?”
