Incest Death Squad 2 FREE?

Incest Death Squad 2 world premiere to be shown free online

Director Cory J. Udler announces the world premiere of highly-anticipated sequel to 2009’s Incest Death Squad will be free online to fans around the world.

Madison, Wisconsin: Writer/Director Cory J. Udler announced this evening on Horror Society Live’s internet radio show that the premiere of his sequel to 2009’s Incest Death Squad will not take place in a theatre, but will instead take place live online at HorrorSociety.com, September 17 at 9:00pm Central Daylight Time.

Last year, the premiere of Incest Death Squad at Market Square Theatres in Madison, as part of the Madison Horror Film Festival, played to a sold out crowd of rabid horror fans. This year, Udler found the resistance from local theatres to a Friday or Saturday night premiere to be completely off-putting.

“It’s amazing that a local film, with a local director, local talent and local businesses featured would be met with such a response in a city that prides itself on its “buy local” mentality. But basically, I wanted to premiere the film on a Friday or Saturday night in Madison at a local Madison theatre. It was either ridiculously expensive, and/or I was told time and time again that the theatre doesn’t rent out on Friday or Saturday nights.” Udler said.

Most theatres reserve Friday and Saturday nights for the latest Hollywood releases and are handcuffed by obligations to the major studios to play certain films on a certain number of screens a certain number of times.

Instead of compromising and scheduling the premiere for a weeknight, Udler decided the only thing to do was give back to the people who made Incest Death Squad a success: the fans.

“Making a low or no budget movie is nothing more than a series of compromise. You compromise time, you compromise the script, you compromise locations, everything. I don’t have a huge issue compromising with my cast and crew, because without them, I have no movie! But I’m certainly not going to compromise what I want now that it’s complete for the big money system. I’m not part of that system. They don’t want me, and I don’t want them. Incest Death Squad 1 and 2 are movies of the people, for the people, by the people. So this one goes out to our people.”

Mitch Wells, the man responsible for the independent horror voice HorrorSociety.com could not have been more excited to host the live, free, online premiere.

“I just sent Mitch a quick message and within a few minutes he got back to me, ‘let’s do it’. So that’s what we’re going to do. HorrorSociety.com and Mitch and the entire crew there have been amazing to me and the film, and to independent horror, so this is a great way to not only give back to the fans of the movie, but give something back to them for their support.”

Incest Death Squad 2 stars Tom Lodewyck, Greg Johnson, Carmela Wiese, Melissa Murphy and Matt Ukena. The entire leading cast of Incest Death Squad 1 returns to reprise their roles, in addition to Ukena who plays “Brent Stein”, Murphy’s character’s petty criminal cousin hired as protection against Johnson and Wiese (Jeb and Amber Wayne).

Recently, Udler signed a one-year distribution deal with More Brains Media for Incest Death Squad 1. Incest Death Squad 2, after its premiere, will also be seeking distribution. In the meantime, Udler will take the same route with part 2 that he took with part 1, self-distribution.

Incest Death Squad 2 will premiere September 17, 2010 live and free online at HorrorSociety.com.  There will be one showing of the film for free at the website then the film will be available for sale at the film’s official website.
