  • 2009 – Andrew Martin, known to WWE wrestling fans as “Test,” passed away 5 days shy of his 45th birthday. He appeared in the “Grindhouse” parody trailer “Werewolf Woman of the S.S.”
  • 2007 – Arnold Drake who wrote and produced the film “The Flesh Eaters,” passed away at the age of 83.
  • 2005 – Stuntman Jack Silk, who worked on the films “Thunderball,” “Psychomania” and “The Devil’s Bride,” passed away at the age of 82.
  • 2001 – Roswell A. Hoffman, who did visual effects for the films “Abbott & Costello Meet The Invisible Man,” “This Island Earth,” “It Came from Outer Space” and “The Birds,” passed away at the age of 95.
  • 2001 – Talk show host Morton Downey Jr., passed away at the age of 67. He appeared in episodes of “Monsters,” “Tales from The Crypt,” (in an episode entitled “Television Terror,” which was one of Jack’s favorites), and the film “Predator 2.”
  • 2001 – Sir Lancelot (no, not that one, but the actor) who appeared in the films “I Walked With a Zombie,” “Curse Of The Cat People” and “Zombies On Broadway,” passed away at the age of 98.
  • 1989 – Maurice Evans, best known to genre fans for portraying “Dr. Zaius” in “Planet of the Apes”, and “Beneath the Planet of the Apes.” He also starred in “Rosemary’s Baby”, “Bewitched (TV Series)”, and “Terror in the Wax Museum.”
  • 1980 – Jay Anson, who penned the novel, “The Amityville Horror,” passed away at the age of 58.
  • 1968 – Yoshio Kosugi, who appeared in the films “Frankenstein Conquers the World,” “Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster” and “Godzilla vs. the Thing” (Mothra), passed away at the age of 64.
