Looking for a intense, sit on the edge of your seat and devilishly inventive game? Five Nights at Freddy’s is just that.
A slick and simple concept that heightens anxieties and makes you a nervous reck. It is your first day on the new job at Freddy Fazbears Pizza as a security guard. Its like the Chuck E. Cheese from hell. When you begin all is well, you start at midnight and you have just enough power to make it to six A.M which is the goal. You sit in this little dark room and you have to flip back and fourth between the security cameras and keep tabs on the animatronics. They move and can get closer and closer to the room you are in if you aren’t attentive enough. The problem is the batter is drained the more you check on them. They can appear at your doorway and you have to be quick enough to shut the door.
This whole game is about observing, timing and conserving your energy. The animatronics for the most part don’t move while you watch them, there is only one that does. You’ll have surprise visits and will not have any control of the outcome which does became frustrating, however this makes you keep going. If you are super observant you will notice that signs around the pizzeria will change and turn into newspaper clips reporting dead children. You cant focus too much on that cause you could be killed by not paying attention to the animatronics. This game uses loads of tension and jump scares in place of violence. This actually does make it a lot scarier cause you don’t know when things will happen or from what character. There is four animatronics coming to your security room- Chica the chicken, Foxy the pirate fox, Bonnie the bunny and Freddy Fazbear. Seeing the pattern for where certain characters tend to go is so important, especially if you want to make it through multiple nights. Paranoia grows heavy with every second, when six A.M hits it is the biggest relief of fear.
Five Nights at Freddy’s did not take long at all to go viral. Especially with people filming there reactions to playing the game and getting terrified on camera. There is a Five Nights at Freddy’s two and Five Nights at Freddy’s Multiplayer game. All have exploded as much as the original. This is a very straight forward game and it does have a less-is-more feel to it and yet its so unpredictable at the same time. You can hear creepy music, children then be killed. Or something can just jump out of no where with a loud scream towards your face. Either way anxiety only goes up and up the more nights you go through. Can you survive a night at freddy’s?
