- 2008 – Barry Morse who appeared in the films “Asylum” (1972), “Funeral Home” and “The Changeling,” passed away at the age of 89. He played “Lieutenant Girad” who pursued “The Fugitive” for four seasons.
- 2004 – John Ensign, who appeared in the film “Teen-Age Strangler,” dies at the age of 86.
- 2004 – Bernard McEveety, who directed numerous episodes for numerous TV shows and the film “The Brotherhood Of Satan,” passed away at the age of 79.
- 1995 – Donald Pleasence, who played “Sam Loomis” in the “Halloween” films, passed away at the age of 75. He also appeared in the films “The Mutations,” “Escape From New York” and the “James Bond” film, “You Only Live Twice” where he played “Blofeld.”
- 1994 – Pierre Boulle, author of the novel, “Planet of the Apes,” passed away at the age of 81.
- 1969 – Boris Karloff, who passed away at the age of 81. He was probably best known as portraying the “Frankenstein’s Monster” in Universal’s 1931 classic, “Frankenstein.” His other films and TV appearances are too vast to list here, but needless to say, he was the greatest horror star that ever lived.
- 1946 – Rondo Hatton, who starred in the films “The Brute Man,” “Pearls of Death” and “House of Horrors,” passed away the age of 51.
