Well, it was actually watched by 1,199,000 viewers, but I rounded up.

Season eight of “Face Off” premiered on SyFy on Tuesday, January 13 and fans of the series were thrilled to see host McKenzie Westmore and judges Glenn Hetrick, Neville Page, and Ve Neill on their television screens again. Not only that, but this season saw 15 fresh and eager special effects artists competing to win the grand prize both on their own merit and as part of a team coached by returning champions Rayce Bird, Anthony Kosar, and Laura Tyler.

So, how did the show do with the first episode of season eight? As I mentioned above, 1,199,000 people tuned in for the debut episode and the show received a 0.5 Nielson Rating, which is pretty good/average for the SyFy Network. Even more interesting, the premiere episode of season eight was watched by the exact same number of viewers as the debut of season seven. Witches, it’s gotta be witches!

“Face Off” continues on January 20 at 9:00PM only on SyFy.
