Production has wrapped on the upcoming horror “A Corpse in Kensington”, a story centering around a serial killer who stalks Lionel (Derrick Acosta) and two others in a love triangle. Michael Madsen plays Lionel’s father, a role that was expanded after a crowdfund campaign raised over $35,000 for the film.

The story follows a wistful loner who is reunited with his crush and her erratic boyfriend several years after graduating high school, as they find themselves entangled in a series of mysterious killings that seem to be targeted at their fellow alumni. The cast also includes Ryan Bollman (“Children of the Corn II”), Vinny Curran (“Resolution”), Savannah Porter, Alex Chernow, Kimberly Weinberger, and Sutheshna Mani.
The movie was written and directed by actor and filmmaker Brian Patrick Butler, the creator of BayView Entertainment’s recent release “Hemet, or the Landlady Don’t Drink Tea”, which also features Weinberger, Butler, and Acosta. Butler produced through his production company Charybdis Pictures with Justin Burquist of Broken Swing Productions. Filming was done on location in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego, California. Ray Gallardo, who shot Butler’s debut feature Troma’s “Friend of the World”, returned as cinematographer. Post production has commenced and the movie’s completion is expected by the second half of 2025.
