Thou Shalt Kill, the chilling thriller that redefines fear and survival, is set to terrify audiences this weekend at the Golden State Film Festival. The festival, known for showcasing an exciting lineup of independent films, will take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Directed by Richard Friedman (Acts of Desperation), Thou Shalt Kill stars Augie Duke (Mayans M.C.) As Shannon Donner, a mother battling her past and struggling with addiction. When confronted by a sadistic serial killer, played by Vince Lozano (Pirates of the Caribbean), Shannon must overcome her deepest fears—because this killer has a terrifying advantage: he can only murder those who fear him. Ayden Lozano joins the cast as Shannon’s son, Alby Donner, bringing an emotional depth to this suspenseful and harrowing story.
Produced by Tom Malloy (Trick Candle Productions) and Shaked Berenson (The Horror Collective), Thou Shalt Kill delivers a fresh and psychological twist on the horror genre. The film explores the power of fear and the limits of human resilience in the face of unspeakable terror.
“The concept of a killer who preys only on those who fear him raises the stakes in a unique way,” says director Richard Friedman. “Augie Duke’s performance as a mother with nothing left to lose is both gripping and raw, and we’re thrilled for audiences at the Golden State Film Festival to experience this film on the big screen.”
“We were honored to have Silence of the Prey open the festival last year, and it’s great to return with Thou Shalt Kill,” says producer Shaked Berenson. “The Golden State Film Festival continues to be a fantastic platform for independent horror, and we’re excited to share this terrifying story with its audience.”
“This film is a wild ride, and I couldn’t be more excited to not only produce but also be a part of this incredible cast,” says Vince Lozano. “Bringing this story to life was an intense experience, and I can’t wait for the audience to feel that same adrenaline on the big screen.”
Don’t miss Thou Shalt Kill at the Golden State Film Festival. Prepare for a night of suspense, terror, and a cinematic experience that will leave you questioning your deepest fears.
