Jamie Bernadette and B.J. Britt Battle in “A Deadly Ride”
“A Deadly Ride” releases on streaming February 4th, starring Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu, NCIS: New Orleans), B.J. Britt (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Vampires Suck), and Chris Whitcomb (Junction). Glenn Ciano (Inkubus) directs.
In a bloody tale of kill or be killed while struggling to survive the harsh environmental elements, Cary (Britt), a ride-share driver drowning in debt and robbing his client’s vacant homes, alters his fate when he picks up Kailey (Bernadette), who is heartbroken after discovering her boyfriend’s infidelity. The journey takes a horrific turn when Cary accidentally hits Adrian (Whitcomb), a jogger. In a panic, Cary decides to hit Kailey too, hoping to eliminate witnesses and protect his secret. Both Kailey and Adrian survive but find themselves injured and fleeing for their lives during a bone-chilling snowstorm.
As Cary hunts them down, Kailey and Adrian must band together, fighting for survival against their relentless pursuer. The stakes are high and the moral boundaries blur as the struggle for justice unfolds in the bitter cold.
Director Glenn Ciano states, “This production was challenging…A WILD deadly ride, anchored by strong character performances by Jamie Bernadette and BJ Britt who are on an unstoppable collision course. I haven’t had this much fun making a movie since ‘Inkubus’ with Robert Englund.”
Jamie Bernadette says this was one of her all-time favorite filming experiences, explaining that “almost the entire film was shot at nighttime in temperatures going as low as 2 degrees and some nights filmed in a snowstorm. The harsh conditions created a true reality that weren’t just a backdrop to the story but became a part of the story itself. I didn’t need to “act” cold, I was cold, and I think it truly brought out some great performances in all of us. Couple that with a phenomenal director, producing team, cast and crew who were supportive and fun, and you have a gem of an experience.”
See the movie on Amazon and Fandango this February 4th and releasing on additional streaming sites in March.
