Only monsters can kill monsters in Round the Decay. The folk-horror creature feature opens in theaters on January 31.
In a unique approach that aims to leverage demand for indie films on the big screen, Dreamscape Productions is selling ticket voucher codes that can be redeemed through Atom Tickets.
Written and directed by Adam Newman (Everwinter Night), Round the Decay follows a young woman as she returns to the sleepy town of Newport’s Valley two years after a devastating tragedy and uncovers an all-consuming secret.
Victoria Mirrer leads an eclectic ensemble that includes Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey At Night), Sienna Hubert-Ross (Terrifier 3), Melody Kay (The NeverEnding Story III), Phil Duran (Breaking Bad), Sarah Nicklin (The Black Mass), Rachel Pizzolato (Mythbusters Jr.), and Roger Clark (Red Dead Redemption II).
Drawing inspiration from Pumpkinhead and The Descent, the film boasts a practical creature designed by veteran special effects artist Greg McDougall (The Haunting of Hill House, Stranger Things, War of the Worlds).
“Having Round the Decay in cinemas is a dream come true,” enthuses Newman. “I spent a lot of time as a kid daydreaming about having my stories projected on the biggest screens. I think we’ve created something that is a lot of fun and has a lot of heart. I can’t wait for people to get to see it at a theater.”
Round the Decay is rated R for bloody violent content and gore, language, and some sexual content/nudity. Pre-order tickets at DreamscapeProductions.com.
