Michael DeFellipo is proud to announce his latest short film. In a collaboration with Mass Grave Pictures, both parties are thrilled to unveil the first look at A Rough Start.
Filmed this November in New York, A Rough Start is a horror-comedy that tells the story of a young couple being attacked by a masked assailant. Only the intended massacre doesn’t go exactly as planned.
A Rough Start is the screenwriting debut of Michael DeFellipo, who also serves as producer. Mass Grave Pictures’ Manny Serrano took the director’s and editor’s chair with Lindsay Serrano serving as assistant director. The short film features cinematography by Phil Kral and sound by John Marean. Kevin Therkelsen and Josh Graydon served as production assistants.
A Rough Start stars an incredible cast comprised of Angie Hansen, Jake Graydon and Jason Lafleur.
“I’ve watched Mass Grave Pictures throughout the years, from Blood Slaughter Massacre to Dark Tales from Channel X. Being that they’re located so close to me, there’s simply no one else I would trust to bring my story to life. Their growth as a production company is simply unmatched, and their potential going forward in the future is exponential,” says DeFellipo.
A Rough Start is scheduled to hit film festivals in the first quarter of 2025.
