HELLMARE is a fun, yet dark and violent tale that follows a group of horror movie enthusiasts who find out what it’s like to be trapped inside of a movie that you can’t turn off. It’s a rainy Friday night in 1996 when a group of friends gather to watch a horror film at a haunted house. That film is HELLMARE, a story of a disfigured man with the head of a horse who kills anyone who finds their way to his stable. In the midst of a lightning storm, and just after the trailers finish rolling, the group of friends is sucked into the movie! Unfortunately for our horror movie protagonists, there are trailers that precede the feature presentation… and when they are brought into HELLMARE’s world, they have to also try their best to survive the villains of those films. Maybe they should have rented something else…?
With the knowledge we’ve gained from shooting three movies in only a year’s time we plan on shooting something huge for our projected goal of $10,000. We have built an in-house crew of actors, a Savini school special FX artist (Kait Brayden), our dedicated cinematographer (Vincent Peters), and many more to bring you something comparable to a film that would have a MUCH larger budget. This is our first feature length movie and we are planning on bringing to life the absolute best in independent horror.
