Robot Ninja: The Official Novelization by Damien Casey is Out Now

In 1989, J.R. Bookwalter and a rag tag crew released their film ROBOT NINJA into the world. A low budget feature shot in Ohio for $15,000 with David DeCoteau credited as a executive producer, ROBOT NINJA would be released on VHS and very quickly that VHS went out of print. Home Video Media Collectors would eventually keep ROBOT NINJA into fading to obscurity, the VHS edition became highly sought out and highly valuable in Collector Circles. In 2019, J.R. Bookwalter revisited his film, by restoring and releasing a Special Edition Blu-ray and comic book.

Now, in 2024, J.R. Bookwalter agreed to come on this crazy journey with us and only one author truly had what it takes to take on a novelization of ROBOT NINJA. Damien Casey’s sharp wit and sense of humor, as well as his love of comic books, made him the perfect author to handle the adaptation of J.R. Bookwalter’s original script.

Synopsis:

The ultimate superhero of the future has arrived!

Leonard Miller is a frustrated artist. His publisher and his agent are out to capitalize on the blooming success of “Robot Ninja,” the greatest costumed superhero since Batman! One night, Miller witnesses a brutal murder of a young couple at the hands of ruthless thugs. He cries out for revenge!

With the help of an inventor friend, Dr. Goodknight, Miller becomes the Robot Ninja, stalking the dark streets of Ridgway, intent on spilling some blood! The only thing stopping him is a remorseful Goodknight, and a frustrated local cop that’s always just one step behind him.

Robot Ninja slashes, stabs, guts, pokes and jabs his way through body after body until his final confrontation with head baddie Sanchez. Acclaimed author Damien Casey brings a modern spin to J. R. Bookwalter’s original script. You’ll never read comic books the same way again!
