Massillon, OH – Small Town Monsters founder Seth Breedlove (The Minerva Monster, The Beast of Whitehall, The Mothman of Point Pleasant) returns with the latest installment of his groundbreaking On the Trail docuseries, this time with a look into his own family history. On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Ancients continues the search for Sasquatch which Small Town Monsters began over five years ago.

Breedlove and his father Ronnie, descendants of early settlers in the Smoky Mountains, return to their roots for a heartfelt and exhaustive exploration of the area’s history and the rich folklore surrounding it. Along for the ride are Mark Matzke, known from numerous Small Town Monsters productions, and local experts and sasquatch researchers Matt Pruitt and Russ Jones.

On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Ancients will launch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video September 10th. A Blu-ray (SRP $19.99) and DVD (SRP ($14.99) will be available exclusively from the Small Town Monsters shop.

On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Ancients follows Seth Breedlove and company deep into the Smoky Mountains as well as the director’s family tree, prompting surprising revelations on both fronts. Through eyewitness interviews, on the ground exploration and Breedlove’s personal journey, viewers are taken on the trail of the Ancients like never before. Members of the Breedlove clan, long-time locals, provide deep historical and cultural insight, while expert researchers such as Micah Hanks, Jakeli Swimmer, Adam Davies and Jeff Carpenter bring a wealth of knowledge to the Ancients roster.
