Lost 90s Found Footage Movie THE BLAIR RABBIT PROJECT Makes 25th Anniversary Home Video Debut

Phantom Pain Films is pleased to announce the release of The Blair Rabbit Project on Blu-ray and VHS July 23, through its Future Video label exclusively on Future-Video.tv.

Conceived in 1999 by writer/director Kerry Prior (The Revenant) during The Blair Witch Project’s opening weekend, The Blair Rabbit Project makes its worldwide home video debut in time for its 25th anniversary. Of the release, Prior says, “Due to the tragicomic history of the movie, The Blair Rabbit Project has been a ghost that has haunted me for years. In spite of, or perhaps because of the drama that suddenly stymied its release 25 years ago, it managed to get a passionate, if small, cult following on bootleg VHS! Now, with the release from Future Video, I hope a wider audience will embrace it for what it is: a true lost, but now found, Found Footage movie.”

Rabbit will also be screening in select theaters around North America through the American Genre Film Archive, with dates to be announced.

The Blu-ray includes The Adam and Kerry Show “Episode 1”, deleted scenes, and the official trailer. The VHS comes in a limited “Dung Bunny” edition that includes an “I Brake for Dung Bunnies” bumper sticker. The Blair Rabbit Project is available for pre-order now exclusively at Future-Video.tv.

Official Logline: In October of 1999 two idiots and some actress they hired disappeared in the woods while shooting a documentary about rabbits. Twenty-five years later their footage was found. The Blair Rabbit Project is the account of their ordeal.
