PMG Brings Two Horror Films to Manhattan Film Festival

Platform Media Group Has Two Films Screening at Manhattan Film Festival:
Susan Dynner’s Supernatural Thriller THE SOUL TRADER (June 15) and Seayoon Jeong’s Experimental Horror NYCTOPHOBIA (June 27)

THE SOUL TRADER follows an occult hitwoman as she steals life-extending souls and then sells them to vain, wealthy elites clinging to the crumbs of youth. When she’s about to take out her final target before retirement, her bodyguard emerges from the shadows as a rival with murder in mind. This short is proof-of-concept for a feature or television series.

NYCTOPHOBIA is a genre-defying film that chronicles a woman’s struggles with her fear of the dark, which causes anxiety and sleep issues that leave her trapped in a dream world where happy memories become horrifying nightmares. This portrayal of a psychological unrest experienced by millions of people is powerfully transportive viewing.

THE SOUL TRADER is from Cannes and Sundance Film Festival alum, director and producer Susan Dynner, and stars Shane West (A WALK TO REMEMBER, ER, THE DIRTY SOUTH) and Donna Mills (Knots Landing, NOPE, ORIGIN) alongside newcomer Shauna Grace.

NYCTOPHOBIA is from award-winning New York- and Los Angeles-based writer, director, and producer Seayoon Jeong and stars Texas-based actress and singer Olivia Clari Nice.
