3x Emmy Award winning costume designer Shawna Trpcic has passed away, aged 56. The news was confirmed today by her agency, Gersh and Lucasfilm. Details about her passing are described a variety of ways by sources with some calling it “mysterious” and others saying it was due to accident or illness. Still, a cause of death remains unannounced.
Shawna worked in dozens of horror films including Lifeline, Second Chance, The Deal, Mommy’s Little Monsters, Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, The Ballad of St. George, Mom, Slaughter of the Innocents, The Fright Night Files and The Core.
Her biggest titles in horror were undoubtedly What Lies Beneath and The Cabin in the Woods.
She also worked on popular television shows including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Angel, Firefly and The Mandalorian.
