TUBI ACQUIRES HORROR FILM “WHERE THE DEVIL ROAMS” AND DOCUMENTARY “SATAN WANTS YOU”

Tubi (www.tubi.tv) today announced its acquisition of the horror film WHERE THE DEVIL ROAMS and documentary SATAN WANTS YOU. The films both screened at Fantasia Fest on July 27 and July 31, respectively, and will have their exclusive streaming premieres on Tubi this winter.

“Tubi is a prime destination for horror fans,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi. “We have long seen a hunger for the horror genre on the platform and we continue to superserve these viewers with compelling titles like WHERE THE DEVIL ROAMS that have broad appeal. We also feel confident that both our horror fans and our dedicated true crime audience will find the real life horror depicted in the unbelievable documentary SATAN WANTS YOU to be compelling.”

WHERE THE DEVIL ROAMS is a horror film that follows a family of performers traveling a cold, dying carnival circuit during the dregs of Depression Era America. The family consists of Seven who has the brains; Maggie the brawn; and daughter Eve is their quiet dark angel. Eve sings for their supper, but when her parents fall to pieces, their act really comes together. The astonishing new feature was written and directed by one-of-a-kind indie favorites John and Zelda Adams and produced by Toby Poser of Wonder Wheel Productions. The film took home the best cinematography award at Fantasia Film Festival, North America’s most prominent genre event. It will go on to screen at Sitges and Frightfest.

SATAN WANTS YOU, which had its world premiere at SXSW, delves into the hysteria that followed the release of 1980 memoir ‘Michelle Remembers,’ which uncovered how baby-stealing Satanists abducted Michelle Smith. Satanic rumors pervaded communities across the world, creating a Satanic Panic that left destruction and wrongful convictions in its wake. SATAN WANTS YOU is written and directed by award-winning duo Steve J. Adams and Sean Horlor, who will take viewers on a never-before-seen journey using archival footage of talk shows, new reports, and in-depth interviews with those closest to the controversy. It is produced by Michael Tanko Grand and Melissa James, and Executive Produced by Horlor and Adams. The film is distributed by Cargo Film & Releasing.
