Wrestlecrap Contributor and Troma Alumni Blade Braxton Has Passed Away

Horror Society has covered the untimely passing of several genre legends and icons over the years but this one is one of the hardest we’ve had to type.

Blade Braxton, who was known for his work with Troma and the indie wrestling scene where he performed as The Midnight Rose, has passed away unexpectedly on March 28th. Braxton has appeared in the Troma films Shakespeare’s Shitstorm and Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High aka Vol. 2, as well as, the indie films Dreaming Purple Neon, Grindsploitation, Hole in the Wall, The Girl Who Played with the Dead, and many more.

We here at Horror Society send our condolences to Blade’s friends and family. I was fortunate enough to meet Blade and hung out with him on several occasions at the cult film convention Cinema Wasteland. He was always the life of the party and knew how to make everyone laugh. We really did lose one of the good ones today.
