After being a fixture in Hollywood for over four decades with movies like Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and Teen Wolf, actor Mark Holton stepped out of the spotlight for a while before reemerging a few years ago as more and more people asked, “Hey, what ever happened to that guy Mark Holton?”
Now, Mark is giving his fans what they want – more of him – with the online launch of The Mark Holton Store (markholtonstore.com). There, visitors can purchase autographed prints, apparel, coffee mugs and more with images from Mark’s most popular movies.
Mark realized how much people loved movie nostalgia during his very first celebrity convention in 2019 when attendees showed up to his booth with posters, laserdiscs, VHS jackets and even bike parts for him to autograph.
“They shared stories about how my films became part of their family, and how I was part of their family memories,” Mark said. “One lady told me that even today whenever something unexplained happens to her or her sister, they turn to each other and say, ‘Francis!’ The longer my first convention ran, the more humbled I became and amazed at the excitement and enthusiasm that came from the people I met.”
At The Mark Holton Store, fans will see a wide selection of products with the most requested characters like Francis from Big Adventure, Chubby from Teen Wolf and his character from The Naked Gun who yells out the famous line, “It’s Enrico Pallazzo!”
“The best of pop culture has endured because nothing has really replaced it,” Mark said. “It represents moments in time during peoples’ lives. You don’t have to experience a period in real time to have nostalgic feelings about it. It’s shared, enjoyed and passed on.”
Whether that nostalgia includes Mark wrestling with Pee-wee in a pool-sized tub or running down the basketball court with a werewolf, his new online store has something that every fan will enjoy.
“At one point I was through with the business, but it wasn’t quite through with me,” Mark said. “The Mark Holton Store will be a new adventure. If you visit, I hope you will leave with a smile on your face.”
