Invite the Devil: To Come and Play is an indie horror film about Oliver Russell, an amateur composer, and reluctant security systems salesman.
As his economic instability and socially disconnected attitude threaten to derail his friendships and family life, he retreats further into his musical obsessions. He attempts to debut his eccentric music at a local dive bar’s open mic night, but his esoteric approach to music leaves his audience confused and uninterested. The audience Oliver seeks is cerebral and in tune with the ancient secrets of music theory — his failure to find such a listener amongst the people around him leaves dejected and isolated. There is, perhaps, another more devoted — and more sinister — listener that hears Oliver.
