My sleazy marathon is finally coming to a close. Six sleazy flicks in 2 days is enough for most horror fans but I can’t deny that I had some fun especially with the last three Vinegar Syndrome releases. After checking out the fun and raunchy Ms. Magnificent and Showdown I decided to end my marathon with the parody anthology flick Naughty Network.
I had heard about this one prior to watching it and it looks like I saved the best for last. As always, I want to thank Vinegar Syndrome for sending this one over for me to review!
**Spoiler Alert**The film follows the number 1 adult themed network as they get together to brainstorm ideas for hit shows. Each idea is met with what the show would look like if it was to be made. We follow different scenarios from M.A.S.H. to soap opera parodies.**Spoiler Alert**
I had heard good things about this one from cult movie fans over the years so I was very much looking forward to checking this one out. I’m glad I finally tossed it in because I really had a fucking blast with it.
The acting in this one is pretty fucking solid. The bookend segment featuring the main characters brainstorming ideas had the best acting. The porn segments were decently acted as well but the best acting comes from the network scenes.
The stories for this one is funny as fuck especially with the adult spin to day time television. I love parodies and these were pretty fun and sexy. I really enjoyed them but I didn’t care for the dialogue in a few of the parodies. It was very clunky and out of place. Almost like it was written for another segment and changed at the last minute.
Finally, those looking for blood and gore will not find it here. However, if you want skin then you will find an abundance. Overall, Naughty Network is sleazy and funny. If you are in the mood for some sexploitation with some creativity and humor I highly suggest throwing in the DVD release out from Vinegar Syndrome!
