Earlier this evening, sources began reporting that actor and reality television star Verne Troyer has passed away at age 49. No cause of death has been given, but his family confirmed the unfortunate news via Facebook. Though he stood at only 2’8″ due to achondrosplasia dwarfism, Vern held his head high and was a giant among men.
Though he’s most recognized for playing Mini Me in the Austin Powers franchise, Troyer is most known for costarring as the killer in Pinocchio’s Revenge (1996) and Gnome Alone (2015). He also held featured spots in Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone, Men in Black and Wishmaster.
