New York News: Gas Station Horror Celebrates 50th Improv Show This Saturday!

Join the cast of Gas Station Horror as they celebrate 50 shows this Saturday, May 13th, at 10:30PM at the Peoples Improv Theater in NYC. Gas Station Horror is a monthly, high-energy improv show that turns terrible horror movies into excellent comedy. Host J. W. Crump is joined by a talented group of horror-philes from the major comedy theaters in New York. After playing clips from low-rent horror movies, the improvisers take the stage to finish the scene in new and hilarious ways.

Tickets will go fast, so make sure to purchase ahead of time using this link: https://thepit-nyc.com/event/2017-05-13-gas-station-horror.

Beyond free popcorn and a sponsored raffle, this performance will also add an extra dose of nostalgia in the form of the very first clip ever used in the show, way back in August 2013.

In its four year run, Gas Station Horror has featured clips from over 400 different horror movies, over 50 different comedians, and enough popcorn to fill the Amityville Horror House.

The 50th show special guest is Kevin Gilligan, a prolific writer, actor, and comedian who is currently filming the second season of his hit web-series “Gigahoes.” He also hosts the Geeks OUT podcast, where he and a guest discuss the latest in nerdy news and media. He recently appeared on “Billy on the Street,” enjoying 15 minutes of viral fame. Follow him on Twitter for the latest in geekery.

With tech by Anthony Velez, Gas Station Horror is J. W. Crump, Sean Reidy, Connor McClure, B. J. Thorne, Josh Krebs, Kaitlin Fontana, Sam Jackel, Michelle Francesca Thomas, Keisha Zollar, Tim Mele, Ali Gordon, Jordan Hirsch and Tracy Mull.
