Philadelphia-based independent film company CRAZY OWL FILMS has just been named by the Associated Entertainment Corps as the top film and TV production company in the Philadelphia region for the horror, science fiction, and thriller genres. While the company has produced numerous successful projects in other genres, it has thrived particularly on the horror and suspense styles since its official commencement of international operations in 2010 under president and senior executive producer Bill Freas, a Philadelphia native.
Current notable genre projects on the Crazy Owl Films slate include two notable contract partnerships — one with director/producer Charlton Jacques and FORESIGHT ENTERTAINMENT, INC. (based in Vancouver) for SHADOW HILL, a mind-bending psychological horror film, and SOUTHERN DEVILS, a suspenseful action/thriller TV series; the other partnership with director/producer Antoine Allen of ANTOINE ALLEN FILMS, LLC (based in New York City) for GRIEF, a gritty supernatural horror film with an ethnically diverse cast led by rising TV star Lester Greene.
Crazy Owl Films also manages a music division known as Crazy Owl Entertainment, which commenced operations officially in 2014 and composes and produces original music for film and TV placement as well as for established professional music artists and labels.
