Weird on Top Pictures to launch Kickstarter campaign for new horror film from indie filmmaker Jason Zink. The movie, Straight Edge Kegger, is a grindhouse inspired horror flick about a group of revenge seeking straight edgers crashing a punk house show. Featuring everything a horror fan loves from blood & guts to booze and boobs and including a killer soundtrack featuring Chicago natives UGLYBoNES.
Weird on Top Pictures has enjoyed some early success with its first micro-budget feature, Night Terrors. Night Terrors was selected by several film festivals, appearing in Fangoria Magazine and receiving worldwide distribution through Camp Motion Pictures.
Written and directed by Jason Zink, the mock trailer for Straight Edge Kegger has already garnered attention from distributors, been selected by 7 film festivals and received awards from 3 of them.
The crowdfunding campaign hopes to raise $14,995 to make the feature film possible. Weird on Top is offering tons of cool perks to those who donate ranging anywhere from posters and koozies to props and roles in the film. The money raised will go towards visual effects, special effects, production materials, music licensing and casting.
