Buffy Star Emma Caulfield Joins Fear the Walking Dead for Season 3.

I’m so glad that she’s going to be back on my television screen, fighting an incarnation of the undead once again!

Emma Caulfield is one of my favorite actresses in Hollywood due to her five season stint on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” While there, she played vengeance demon turned mortal Anya Jenkins in 85 episodes of the iconic series, ultimately turning out some of the most sarcastic, sassy and tear jerking lines. Since the show ended in 2003, Caulfield lead the horror flick Darkness Falls and recurred on other television series including “Robot Chicken,” “Life Unexpected,” “Royal Pains” and “Once Upon A Time.”

Now she’s tapped to play another big role in semi-hit spin-off “Fear the Walking Dead” on AMC. Her casting announcement was made official on Saturday, but fans of Emma’s and the “Walking Dead” companion series are still in the dark. The duration of her stay on season three has yet to be confirmed nor the character she’ll play. Though, sources are speculating that she’ll play the leader of the group that attacked Nick and Luciana at the end of season two.

According to MoviePilot, Executive Producer Dave Erickson revealed that a female antagonist would become an important part of season three, and many people believe that could be Emma Caulfield’s character. I couldn’t see producers bringing her on in any other way!

I guess we’ll just have to wait until the third quarter of 2017 to find out!t
