The Watcher of Park Ave features a stellar female cast that includes Horror icons, Amanda Wyss and Lisa Wilcox. While fans of the A Nightmare on Elm Street Films will be pleased to see these two ladies back in action, Director Ryan Burton promises a strong performance by Actress, Chengusoyane Kargbo.
“Chengu is dynamite! She blew me away at her audition (For the role of Blanche) and I had doubt in my mind she was the perfect fit. She exudes strength and class while also delivering vulnerability in her performance. I feel we are still ending up with these generic female roles in Horror films. I wanted to avoid that completely with the character of Blanche”-Ryan Burton
We Recently had a little chat with the Up and Coming Actress!

Q: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to talk with us!! Let’s get the ball rolling…What is your favorite horror film?
Chengusoyane Kargbo: I loved ‘The Conjuring’ for the amazing story but can’t not mention The Blair Witch Project; I knew it was fake, but I was still shaking 20 minutes afterward. lol

Q: What can you tell us about your character Blanche in The Watcher of Park Ave?
CK: She is a strong woman who is dealing with the fact that her boyfriend cheated on her and trying her best to understand why and how to continue on from this pain. I loved Blanche’s strength, I loved how her mind worked it’s way through problems and how specific Ryan was in the script about who she was and what he expected from me. Made my job really easy!

Q: Why should people be excited to see the Short Film?
CK: People should be excited to see this film because it is a whole different beast. It’s not like anything else out there right now and will surprise you again and again.

Q: What was it like working with A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Amanda Wyss and fellow Elm Street alum Lisa Wilcox?
CK: I was SO excited to be working with both Amanda Wyss and Lisa Wilcox. Such giants especially in the horror genre. They were both such strong woman and amazing actors. So generous in scenes and so ready to do what was needed to make the film amazing at all times. I feel like I learned so much from them and hope to work with both of these amazing ladies again in the future!!

Q: What projects are you working on now?
CK: Right now I’m prepping for a feature film called Up or Out where I’m playing this amazing sweet, timid secretary character. She’s such a turn around from the strength and self assurance of Blanche. I can’t wait to get started!
