She appeared in dozens upon dozens of television shows in a career that spanned over five decades, and now it’s being reported that actress Barbara Tarbuck has passed away. Her daughter, Jennifer Lane Connolly, confirmed the news to People.com that her mother passed on Monday, December 26, 2016 from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease while in her home in Los Angeles. She was 74-years-old. Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is a brain illness that causes dementia, coma and eventually death.
Her numerous recurring roles on television can be found in “Dallas,” “Falcon Crest,” “General Hospital,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “NYPD Blue” and “Santa Barbara.” She also appeared in hit movie Walking Tall. During her career in Hollywood, Tarbuck landed roles in a few science fiction titles including Short Circuit (1986), Out of Time (1988), The Death of the Incredible Hulk (1990), Scanner Cop 2 (1995), The Legend of Razorback (2002) and S. Darko (2009).
Most recently, she appeared alongside Jessica Lange in five episodes of “American Horror Story: Asylum” as Mother Superior Claudia.
